Bio

Maddison is a psychologist with General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. During her postgraduate studies, Maddison has acquired experience working with individuals across the lifespan including children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of presentations such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, coping and adjustment, and attachment and relationship issues. Maddison has worked across a variety of settings including university clinics, primary schools, and hospital settings within medical wards and outpatient oncology, working alongside GPs, paediatricians, psychiatrists, case managers, social workers, teachers, and other support staff to provide best care to clients. She believes in providing person-centred care for all individuals and thus utilises a range of evidence-based therapies including cognitive-behavioural, acceptance and commitment, emotion-focused, solution-focused, mindfulness-based, and motivational interviewing to best suit each unique client’s needs and goals. In addition to therapy, she is also passionate about the role of psychological assessment in supporting mental wellness and has training in a wide range of cognitive, educational, and diagnostic assessments to assist applications for funding and educational support.

Maddison is warm and empathetic in her approach and is passionate about providing holistic, person-centred, and evidence-based care for all clients. She strives to provide each individual with a safe and supportive environment to explore and overcome their unique challenges and achieve their goals. Maddison also aims to provide a culturally safe therapeutic environment for clients from all walks of life.
