Questions, answered
Can’t find your answer? Reach out and ask us here.
What happens in the first session?
Your psychologist will take time to understand your concerns, history, goals and what support you are looking for. Together, you will create a plan moving forward.
Do I need a GP referral to see a psychologist?
No. You can book privately without a referral. A GP Mental Health Care Plan is required only if you wish to claim Medicare rebates.
How much do sessions cost?
Our session fees follow the APS recommended guidelines and range from $150–$285. The exact fee depends on several factors, including whether you are using a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and whether your psychologist is provisionally registered, generally registered, or endorsed as a clinical psychologist.
Can I claim Medicare rebates?
Yes. Medicare rebates are available with a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.
Do you offer online or telehealth appointments?
Yes. We offer both in-person and telehealth sessions for clients across Queensland and Australia.
How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Assessment sessions may run longer depending on the testing required.
